Language of Samskrita is one of the most ancient languages in the world and if one need to understand the meaning and substance of the Veda mantras, one need to have a thorough understanding of the grammar of the Sanskrit language. Paniniya Vyakarana is most advanced and completely available today and his grammar deals with both the Veda and the People ie., Vaidika Bhasha and Laukika Bhasha. the main text of Panini’s Grammar is Ashtadhyayi. it has 8 chapters called Adhyayas. each Adhyaya has four sections called Padas. Ashtadhyayi has little less than 4000 sutras and all other sanskrit grammar texts are based on these 4000 Sutras of Panini called Ashtadhyayi. the knowledge of these Sutras and their meaning is most necessary to understand the Vedas.
