CENTER FOR STUDIES IN VEDIC CHANTING

The Objective of this Center is to provide knowledge of Vedic Chanting of Rigveda/Yajurveda/Samaveda from Samhita Patha upto Ghanapaatha

The word Veda comes from root word(Dhatu) Vida Jnane, which means knowledge; they are the Knowledge given by God which is for everyone irrespective of Caste, Creed, Gender, Nationality or Religion. In the year 2003, The Oral Tradition of Vedic Chanting has been declared “Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

There are four Vedas i.e., Rig, Yajus, Sama and Atharvaveda. In the beginning of creation four Rishis(Seers) got these knowledge in a deep meditative state.

Rigveda was realized by Rishi Agni & is Knowledge oriented.

Yajurveda was realized by Rishi Vayu & is Action oriented.

Samaveda was realized by Rishi Aditya & is Devotion oriented.

Atharvaveda was realized by Rishi Angira & is oriented with knowledge of society and things around us.

The Knowledge of Vedas was passed on from generation to generation through Shruti Parampara or Oral tradition and this is the only reason with which we are able to keep Vedas intact. the Language of Vedas is called Vaidika Bhasha which is nearest to Sanskrit. and the method of Understanding Vedas properly is through Six Vedangas.
